La Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas llevó adelante la 92º entrega de los Premios Oscar, en la que Parasite fue la gran ganadora de la noche.
Una ceremonia pesada tuvo lugar en el Dolby Theatre de Los Ángeles, en California, pero el film de Bong Joon-ho dio la nota para consagrarse como la primera nominada a la Mejor Película Internacional en la historia que también gana el premio a la Mejor Película. No solo eso, el celebrado cineasta surcoreano se hizo con la estatuilla de Mejor Director, el segundo de los cuatro premios que en total cosechó su último trabajo.
Respecto al resto de los galardones, no hubo grandes sobresaltos. Se mantuvo la paridad en materia de actuación y finalmente se pudo disfrutar de Joaquin Phoenix en el escenario con su Oscar en mano, desde donde brindó otro potente discurso. Quizás la mayor sorpresa sea el Oscar al Mejor Guion Adaptado para Jojo Rabbit, por fuera de la inesperada presentación de Eminem que poco tenía que ver con el evento en sí.
